Akon's solo debut album, Trouble was release on June 29, 2004. He has had lots of hits including Locked Up, Lonely Belly Dancer, Pot Of Gold, Ghetto, Moonshine, Let's Get It:, Thug Motivation 101 and Soul Survivor. Akon served 3 years in jail for grand theft auto, and that became his inspiration to write Locked Up. Akon has sold more than 2.4 million records in the U.S. and 3.8 million worldwide.
